The Notification Center gives you a single place to track all your notifications. You get notified when a Work Order or Work Request is assigned to you, when someone mentions you in a note, when a status changes, or when a due date is approaching — without having to check manually.
How does the Notification Center work?
The Notification Center opens via the bell icon in the navigation. Your notifications appear in a list, with unread items marked by a blue dot. The unread count is shown on the bell icon and updates automatically.
Each notification shows you:
The affected object (e.g. "WO-000129 Pump Maintenance") with a status badge
The type of notification (e.g. "Assigned to you", "New note", "Marked as 'Open'")
A relative timestamp
Clicking a notification marks it as read and navigates you directly to the relevant detail page.
Filtering and managing notifications
Use the settings icon (slider) in the Notification Center header to access the following options:
Show read – toggles read notifications on or off. Your preference is saved and persists across page reloads.
Mark all as read – marks every notification as read at once.
Remove all read – removes all read notifications from the list.
Go to settings – opens your personal notification settings.
Notifications you read during a session stay visible until you close the Notification Center, so nothing goes missing.
Notification types
In your settings, you can control exactly which events trigger notifications for you. Available types depend on the module:
Type | When it's being triggered |
User assignment | You are directly assigned to an object |
Group assignment | Your User Group is assigned to an object |
New unassigned object | A new object (e.g. Ticket or Work Request) has no assignee |
Status update | The status of an object changes |
New note | A new note is created on an object |
Mention in note | You are mentioned in a note |
Due date & overdue | A due date is approaching or has passed |
System | System events such as imports, exports, or workspace access requests |
Parts | Low or empty parts stock |
💡 Note: To receive notifications for parts stock levels, you must also be listed as the responsible person or group on the part.
An extensive overview of when notifications are triggered can be found in our article Overview of Notification Settings.
Adjusting your settings
In your user profile, under the Notifications tab, you can configure per module:
Which notification types to enable or disable
Whether to receive notifications for all new notes or only when you are mentioned
Whether to receive email notifications
Whether to automatically become a follower when your group is assigned
💡 Note: The option "Receive notifications when my group is assigned" controls whether you receive update and note notifications for objects assigned to your group. Direct assignment notifications are independent of this toggle and can be configured separately.
Following objects
You can manually follow individual objects — such as Work Orders, Tickets, or Assets — to be notified about all their changes.
On the detail page of an object, click the bell icon to follow or unfollow.
In list views, the same option is available in the three-dot menu (⋮) of a row.
On small screens, follow/unfollow is accessible from the three-dot menu as well.
💡 Note: You are automatically added as a follower when you are assigned to an object. You can unfollow manually at any time.
Email notifications
When email notifications are enabled, you receive an email summary for new notifications. For note mentions, the email includes a preview of the note content.
Example of email notifications: By clicking on "Go to Notifications", you will be taken directly into your remberg system.
FAQ
Why do notifications disappear immediately when I click them? This happens when the filter is set to "Unread only". Enable Show read to keep read notifications visible during the current session.
I'm not receiving notifications for a specific object — why might that be? Check whether you are following the object and whether the relevant notification type is enabled in your settings.
What happens if I no longer have access to an object? The notification remains visible in the Notification Center even if you've lost access to the object. You can delete it manually.
