What is bookmarking?

A bookmark marks a Ticket, Work Order, or Asset for quick personal access. It's entirely personal: only you see it, it doesn't change the object itself, and it never triggers a notification.

Bookmarking is independent of the bell (notifications). More on that below under "Bookmarking and notifications."

How do you add a bookmark?

You add a bookmark using the star icon, whose position depends on the object:

  • Tickets & Work Orders: the star sits in the detail page header, and also in the three-dot menu on both the detail page and the overview page.

  • Assets: the star is only in the three-dot menu, on both the detail page and the overview page.

Click the star to add the bookmark. The star fills in once the bookmark is set. Click it again to remove it.

Adding and removing a bookmark

  1. Open the Ticket, Work Order, or Asset.

  2. Click the star in the header (Tickets, Work Orders) or open the three-dot menu and select "Add bookmark" (all object types).

  3. The star fills in once the bookmark is set. Click it again to remove it.

You can also add a bookmark from the three-dot menu on the overview pages.

Spotting bookmarked objects

In the overview table, a small star next to the ID shows which Tickets, Work Orders, or Assets you've bookmarked. This lets you spot them at a glance, even without a filter.

Using the filter and predefined views

Every object type has:

  • a "Bookmarked" filter (yes/no)

  • a predefined view, for example "My bookmarked Tickets," "My bookmarked Work Orders," or "My bookmarked Assets"

You can also combine the "Bookmarked" filter with other filters, such as "Assigned person" or "Status," to build your own view.

Bookmarking and notifications (the bell)

Bookmarking and notifications are two separate functions:

  • The bell enables notifications. You're informed when something changes on the object, even if it isn't assigned to you.

  • A bookmark doesn't set up any notification. It's purely a personal marker for filtering and views.

You can bookmark an object without enabling notifications, enable notifications without bookmarking, or do both at once. Neither affects the other.

For Ticket users: the previous "Followed Tickets" view

The "Followed Tickets" view and "Follower" filter no longer exist. If you had notifications enabled because a Ticket was assigned to you or because you'd manually turned on the bell, rebuild similar logic yourself with these filters:

  • Assigned person: your own user

  • Bookmarked: yes, for Tickets you've bookmarked

  • Optional, if your team uses group assignment: Assigned group for your user group(s)

Save the combination as your own view so you can return to it anytime.
