Work Order Overview
The standard columns of the table and hierarchy have been changed: The Start and End Date and Performing Person columns have been replaced with the new Planning column, which summarizes this data. However, the Start and End Date and the Performing Persons and Groups are still available as user-defined columns.
The predefined view My groups' Work Orders has been removed, but the My Groups filter can still be applied.
The work order cards in the work order overview, the Associations sidebar of organizations and cases, and in the mobile app have a new, simple design. The (i) icon on the work oder card shows a lot of additional information when you move the mouse over it.
Work Order Detail Page
The forms associated with a work order are no longer displayed in the sidebar, but in a dedicated tab in the center.
There are dedicated Save buttons for changes to the properties of the work order, the subject, the description and the planning sidebar, while all other fields are autosaved.
The work order status is selected in the upper left corner and is autosaved.
Activities are displayed in the Activities tab and include several enhancements.
Planning
After the update, work orders must either have start and end date or none of both. Therefore, the update will automatically set the same end or start as the existing date for all existing orders that only have a start or end date. You can change this information at any time.
Start and end times for planned work orders and events now have a time zone that has been automatically pre-populated with your system's time zone setting. Exceptions are plannings marked as all-day.
After the update, work orders, events, and maintenance plans can have multiple performers and user groups instead of attendees. Work orders, events, and maintenance plans with attendees will have the previous attendees added to the Performing Person & Group field.
Creation in Case
Creating a new work order from a case no longer opens a small window in the same tab, but the complete work order creation mask in a new tab. Data is transferred as usual. The address can be selected from the relevant available addresses using the Select button.
Other
Exporting work orders will not include custom work order property fields, or the timestamps and users of status changes.
The public API endpoints for Work Orders v1 will be deprecated and soon replaced by the new advanced API endpoints for Work Orders v2.
Work order types, status and individual data fields can be managed in the self-service settings.
Notifications
The following new notifications have been introduced:
Upcoming Due Date:
Trigger: 3 days before due date, as long as the work order has a status defined as not completed.
Recipient: All users added as responsible and/or performing persons.
This notification is automatically set up for each user with the update, in the same way as the notification of an overdue due date, and can be customized at any time.
Updating orders:
Trigger: Change of work order status, title or properties
Recipient: All users added as responsible and/or performing persons.
Is automatically set for each user with the update, like the notification of order assignment, and can be adjusted at any time.
