Why should you use QR codes for your assets in combination with remberg? We'll be happy to tell you here in this article:
1. Internal and external access
Thanks to the QR codes, you not only offer your employees quick access to the right asset details page, but also your customers and partners who use the portal. By being redirected directly to the asset details page after scanning, portal users can immediately access operating instructions, reorder the right spare parts or open a ticket. This saves a lot of time when searching for the right machine in the system overview and reduces the risk of accidentally selecting the wrong system.
2. Public tickets
QR codes can be used not only by internal and external users, but also by people who do not have access to your remberg. They are given the opportunity to create public tickets. For example, a hotel guest can report a dirty elevator or the user of a public charging station can report a defective plug. You receive the ticket immediately in your remberg system, already linked to the correct asset, and can respond immediately.
3. Fast and error-free access
By scanning QR codes, you can avoid the tedious search for the correct asset in the system. Long-standing employees may be familiar with the serial numbers, but new colleagues do not yet have this information in their heads when they stand in front of the asset. However, if they are able to scan the QR code, they will immediately be taken to the details page of the correct asset.
4. Mobile access
QR codes are scanned with an end device that has a QR code-recognizable camera. In most cases, these are tablets and smartphones. This means that with just one scan, you have all the necessary information about the asset ready to hand on your cell phone or tablet. It also offers a quick way to e.g. embed a previously taken photo of the defective asset for example directly into the maintenance report.
5. Ask the asset đȘ
With our optional AI copilot, you can give your employees the opportunity to ask the asset questions. A quick scan of the QR code and the service technician is immediately redirected to the detail page of the correct asset. There she can ask the asset directly what error code 513 means or when the oil was last changed. And all this without having to spend minutes searching through hundreds of pages of operating instructions and documentation.
If you have not yet booked the AI copilot but are interested in using it, please get in touch with your Customer Success contact person or support@remberg.de.
6. Request specific articles and spare parts
If you have activated the Portal for your customers and partners, parts assigned to the assets can also be made available to external users.
If the customer wants to reorder a spare part, for example, they can scan the QR code on the asset directly and go straight to the details page for the desired asset. All the items available for this asset can be found there, which the customer can simply select and order in a ticket that opens. This not only offers the customer the advantage of a quick and short route, but also you, as the correct asset, the customer and the desired items are already linked in the ticket. This results in fewer inquiries on your part and faster communication and delivery times.
