The remberg mobile app helps you handle Work Orders and Work Requests on the go, right at the Asset — including Assets, Procedures, time tracking, and spare parts management. Everything you enter syncs automatically, so your whole team stays on the same page.
Installation and Updates
Download the remberg app from the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) by searching for "remberg".
💡 Note: We recommend enabling automatic app updates in your Play Store or App Store settings so you always have the latest version.
Logging In
When you open the app for the first time, enter your workspace subdomain.
Log in with your email address, or — if available — use Single Sign-On (Microsoft or another connected identity provider).
After a successful login, the initial sync starts automatically. This loads all data you have access to (Assets, Work Orders, Work Requests, Procedure templates, etc.) onto your device, which can take a moment depending on data volume and your internet connection.
💡 Note: The modules and data you see depend on your user permissions. If a section is missing, contact your system administrator.
Navigation
The app is organized into four main areas, accessible from the bottom navigation bar:
Assets – Overview and details of your Assets
Work Requests – Work Requests you or others have created
Work Orders – Work Orders assigned to you or your group (depending on permissions, all Work Orders may be visible)
Settings – Profile, language, notifications, sync status, and direct contact with remberg Support
The QR code scan function in the bottom right also lets you scan a remberg QR code to navigate directly to the corresponding Asset or create a Work Request for it right away.
Assets
In the Asset overview, you can search by name, serial number, or Asset Type, or open an Asset directly by scanning its QR code. You can also see at a glance which Assets represent a core process or carry high criticality.

Left: The Asset overview. Right: The Asset detail page
The Asset detail page shows:
The Asset's current status
Related Work Requests and Work Orders
Sub Assets (Asset hierarchy)
The parent Asset (with direct navigation to it)
The Properties tab also shows master data such as type, serial number, Responsible Group, and criticality.
From the Asset detail page, tap the + to create a new Work Request for that Asset directly. Tap the share icon in the top right to share the Asset with colleagues via link or QR code.
Work Requests
Tap the + in the Work Request overview, or create a Work Request directly from the Asset detail page or by scanning a QR code.
Fill in the available fields — which fields appear depends on your workspace's form configuration (e.g., description, Asset, Asset status, failure type, photo upload).
Confirm with Create.

Left: The Work Request Overview. Right: The Work Request detail page.
The status of a Work Request (New, Approved, Rejected, Completed) is visible directly in the overview and detail view. If you have the necessary permission, you can approve or reject a Work Request with the status New directly from the Work Request detail page: tap the checkmark icon in the bottom right to approve it, or the X icon to reject it. Without this permission, the status is view-only – approval is then handled by the responsible person, either on desktop or in the app.
Select All Work Requests to see every Work Request, or tap My Work Requests to see only the ones you created yourself.
If a Work Order was created from a Work Request, you can navigate directly to that Work Order from the Work Request detail page. Tap the share icon in the top right to share the Work Request with colleagues via link or QR code.
💡 Note: In the Work Request overview, you can immediately see whether the affected Asset has high criticality or is part of a core process. It's also immediately visible if the reported Asset status is Warning or Stopped, so you can focus on the most urgent Work Requests.
Work Orders

Left: The Work Order Overview. Right: The Work Order detail page.
The Work Order overview is split into To Do and Done views, and further groups your Work Orders into Assigned to Me, My Groups, and All Others.
The filter function also lets you filter by priority, Work Order type, status, due date, and Performing Person, and adjust the sort order.
Depending on configuration, the Work Order detail page shows:
Title, description, and attached files
Linked Assets and Work Requests
The Procedures, Times, and Spare Parts sections, plus the Notes tab
Scheduling data such as start and due date, and Performing Person(s)/Group(s)
You can change a Work Order's status directly on the detail page, provided you have the necessary permission.
Tap the share icon in the top right to share the Work Order with colleagues via link or QR code. This makes collaboration easier — for example, when another person needs to log time on the Work Order or wants to check or add information about it.
Procedures

Left: The Work Order detail page. Right: A procedure.
Procedures guide you step by step through the tasks to complete on a Work Order.
Tap Start on the Work Order. This automatically starts time tracking and moves the status to "In Progress" (as long as this is configured on desktop under Settings > Features > Work Orders > Workflow).
The first Procedure opens. It guides you through the Work Order, and you record every completed step directly in the Procedure.
Complete the Procedure via Mark as Done once all visible required fields are filled in. When the last required Procedure template is completed, time tracking stops and the status moves to "Completed" (as long as this is configured on desktop under Settings > Features > Work Orders > Workflow).
💡 Note: Procedures of type "Safety Check" and "Validation" can each only be added once per Work Order; "Maintenance" can be added multiple times. If a preceding Procedure is not yet completed, subsequent Procedures are locked.
💡 Note: If you have the necessary permissions in remberg, you can add a Procedure template to the Work Order via the +.
Time Tracking
In the Times section, you log your time spent:
Tapping Start on the Work Order detail page starts time tracking. Only one timer can run at a time — starting another one prompts you to stop the previous one.
Alternatively, use + Add Time to log a manual time entry with a start and end time, including on behalf of colleagues.
A running timer is also shown outside the corresponding Work Order. Tap it to jump back to that Work Order.
Spare Parts
In the Spare Parts section, you can:
Confirm an already reserved or planned parts withdrawal as taken
Log a new withdrawal directly (part type, storage location, quantity, date, comment)
Notes
In the Notes section, you document and find additional information about the Work Order:
Format text as bold, italic, underlined, or as a list
Mention colleagues using @
Attach photos or videos
💡 Note: Once published, notes can be deleted but not edited afterward.
Notifications
With push notifications enabled, you're informed of events such as a new assignment, a status change, or a mention in a note. Tap a notification to jump directly to the relevant item.
You can enable or disable push notifications under Settings.
💡 Note: You can only choose which actions trigger notifications on desktop. This setting also applies to the mobile app.
FAQ
Do I need to manually configure anything for my entries to sync? No. Your entries sync automatically in the background as soon as you have an internet connection.
What happens if a sync fails? The affected change is shown under Settings → Sync Status along with the reason for the failure. You can retry the sync there once the cause is resolved.
Can I create Work Orders directly in the app? No, Work Orders are created on desktop. In the app, you can view and edit them, and create Work Requests that may result in a Work Order.
Can I approve or reject Work Requests directly in the app? Yes – provided you have the necessary permission. Open the Work Request with status New and tap the checkmark icon in the bottom right to approve it, or the X icon to reject it. Without this permission, the status is view-only.
What happens if I reopen a Procedure that's already completed? Reopening it resets any signatures it contains; all other entered values are retained.
Do I see all Work Orders and Assets in the company? That depends on your user permissions. You only see the areas and items you have the corresponding permission for.
