remberg AI is the AI built into remberg. You describe what you need in the chat, and remberg AI finds the right data, prepares results, and proposes changes to Assets, Work Orders, Maintenance Plans, or Procedures. For recurring tasks, you use agents that take over a specific process for you. By default, a change is only applied once you approve it.
What can remberg AI do?
remberg AI reads data in remberg and can also edit it for you. Typical tasks include:
Answering questions about Assets, Work Orders, Work Requests, Maintenance Plans, and spare parts, with sources
Preparing and scheduling Work Orders and documenting them after the job
Creating Assets and Maintenance Plans from photos or documents, e.g. a type plate or a manufacturer manual
Creating Procedure templates from documents
Creating filtered views for Work Orders, Work Requests, Assets, and spare parts
What are agents?
An agent is a defined task that remberg AI carries out for you, for example documenting a Work Order or creating a Maintenance Plan from a manual. Instead of explaining every time what needs to be done, you simply select the right agent.
There are two kinds of agents:
Default agents are ready to use right away. Learn more in remberg AI: Default Agents.
Custom agents are agents you create yourself to reflect your team's processes. Learn more in remberg AI: Creating Custom Agents.
You can also use remberg AI without any agent and simply describe your question or task in your own words.
Opening the chat
Click remberg AI in the sidebar
Type your request in the input field or use voice input via the microphone icon.
Send the message. remberg AI shows you step by step which data it reads and what is happening.
If you open the chat on the detail page of a record, e.g. a Work Order or an Asset, remberg AI automatically refers to that record, so you don't need to name it.
š” Note: remberg AI only sees data you have access to yourself and only proposes actions you have the required permissions for.
Using agents and files in the chat
Type / to select an agent, e.g. /Document Work Order. You can combine several agents in one message.
Once an agent is selected, you can send the message without any additional text.
Use the paperclip to attach files such as PDFs, images, audio, or video files.
Reviewing and approving changes
When something is to be created or changed in remberg, remberg AI shows you an approval card by default. The card shows exactly which record is affected and which values will be set.
Review the proposed changes on the card.
Click Accept to apply the change or Deny to reject it.
When rejecting, you can give a reason. remberg AI takes it into account and proposes an alternative if needed.
If several changes are proposed at once, they appear together. You can accept or deny all of them at once, or handle each card individually.
š” Notes:
If a change replaces a complete list, e.g. all fields of a Procedure, the card points this out. Review these changes with extra care.
After you approve a change, the page refreshes automatically in the background so you see the result right away.
Chat history
Your conversations are saved. Use the history icon in the chat to open earlier conversations or start a new chat. A status circle shows whether work is still in progress in another conversation or whether a new reply is waiting for you there.
Settings
Use the gear icon in the chat to open the Settings and adapt remberg AI to the way you work. Settings only apply to your own user profile. Click Save after making changes.
Mode
The mode defines how thoroughly remberg AI works.
Mode | Best for |
Fast | Quick research and simple questions. Less suited for complex tasks. In this mode, no data is created or edited. |
Default | Everyday research and getting tasks done. A good balance between speed and quality. Recommended for most requests. |
Pro | Complex questions and extensive research. Responses take a bit longer. |
Behavior
Create or Update data: When this option is enabled, remberg AI creates and edits data on its own, without asking for your approval first. It is disabled by default, so every change first appears as an approval card.
Submit audio directly: When this option is enabled, your voice message is sent as soon as you stop recording. When it is disabled, you can review and add to the transcribed text before sending.
š” Note: Only enable Create or update data once you are familiar with the results remberg AI delivers. Without approval cards, changes are applied in remberg immediately.
Data areas
Under Recommended for, you define which areas remberg AI takes into account. All are enabled by default:
Work Orders, Assets, Spare Parts, Work Requests, Maintenance Plans, Procedures, Forms, Files, Tickets, and Organizations
Disable the areas remberg AI should ignore. This is useful, for example, if you only work with Assets and Work Orders and want more focused answers.
š” Note: The areas you see depend on which modules are active in your remberg system.
Custom instructions
Add guidance remberg AI takes into account with every request, for example:
"Always answer in English and keep it short."
"'Line 3' always refers to the filling line in Hall B."
You can also dictate the instructions using the microphone icon.
remberg AI in the mobile app
remberg AI is also available in the remberg app. This is especially useful when working at the Asset: describe your work by voice, attach photos, and let the Document Work Order agent document the Work Order. Approval cards work in the app the same way as in the browser.
FAQ
Does remberg AI change data without asking me? Not as long as Create or update data under Behavior is disabled in the settings, which is the default. Every change then first appears as an approval card, whether it comes from a default agent, a custom agent, or a free-form request.
Do I need to select an agent for every request? No. You can also describe your question or task freely. Agents are useful when you want a task done the same way every time.
Why can't remberg AI find certain data? remberg AI only sees what your permissions allow you to see. Also check in the settings whether the relevant data area is enabled, e.g. Files or Maintenance Plans.
Why aren't any changes proposed? In Fast mode, data is only read. Switch to Default or Pro if you want remberg AI to create or edit data.
