Inviting and Blocking Internal Users

Read here how you can invite internal users to the system and suspend their access again

Inviting internal users

  1. Under "Settings", go to the menu item "Users" (under General)

  2. Click on "+ Add"

  3. Enter all the required information, assign a user role and group and tick "Send invitation"

  4. Click on "Create"

Note: It is regulated in your contract how many Professional Users (users assigned to roles that grant full use of the system) you may invite to your system. If you need additional licenses, please reach out to your remberg contact person.

However, you can invite as many users as you want, which you assign to the preset Viewer or Requester role.

Requesting access via the login page

Users without an account can request access to remberg themselves via the "Request Access" link on the login page.

  1. The person clicks "Request Access" on the login page and enters the required information.

  2. All admins receive a notification about the new access request.

  3. The request automatically creates an internal User.

šŸ’” Note: The newly created User cannot log in yet. No role has been assigned and no invitation has been sent.

To complete the access, follow the same steps as under "Inviting internal users":

  1. Under "Settings", go to the menu item "Users" (under "General")

  2. Click on the newly created User in the list

  3. Assign a user role (and a group, if applicable)

  4. Click on "Send Invitation"

Suspending access for internal users

In the event that internal users leave the company, it is possible to suspend their access to remberg. Read below to find out how this works.

Note: This step can be reversed by inviting the user again (see above)

  1. Under ā€œSettingsā€, go to the menu item ā€œUsersā€ (under ā€œGeneralā€)

  2. Click on the desired user

  3. In the sidebar that opens on the right-hand side of the screen, click on the ā€œSuspend Accessā€ button at the bottom

This person can now no longer log in and will receive an error message if they try anyway. The ā€œForgot passwordā€ button on the login page is now also ineffective and blocks the sending of the email that could be used to assign a new password.

The license previously used by this person is now free again and can be assigned to another person.
